~St-Barthelemy ~ Paradise on Earth
click for larger photo Several years ago I saw an ad in the New York Magazine, it was a special for lodging on the Island of St-Barth. Having just completed long divorce proceedings, I looked at the beach and clear water in the ad and without hesitation called and made reservations. All I can tell you is - if you ever see this ad - GO. About six months later, I was perusing the NYTimes online and saw an ad for a home sitter in St-Barth for the summer. I faxed the couple that night and heard back from them immediately. There was an instant connection between us and we made all the arrangements for our extended stay on the island. Our summer stay turned into about 7 months, and when that time was up it found us looking for a permanent place to live on the island. That hasn't happened yet, but it will one day.
