hello blanche, i have a little bit of information if you're still looking, i'm the....great-great-great-granddaughter of David P. and Sara Ann McMurria. David P. was born on June 3, 1820 and died on Nov. 18, 1896. Sara was born in No. Carolina. David was a sheriff of Baker Co, Ga. from 1871 thru 1873. they had 2 sons: Abner and Alfred Iverson. this is as far as my info goes back. sincerely from a possible relative,

Do you have any information on parents of Amsey Delaney Taylor? I believe that she is the daughter of John Aaron Taylor and Amsey Delaney McMurrian both of Wilkinson County, Georgia, and I would like information on those families. Do you know when this Amsey (who married Pate) was born?

I have a partial date for her as October 184X
He was b 4 Jul 1848 and was 3 years younger (32 vs 35)in the 1880 census. I'd put her date as Oct 1845. In 1880 there was a b/n/l, Charles L Taylor, b ca 1859 living with them. She appears in 1900 census as age 53 b Oct 184x and he shows as age 51 b Jul 1848. Wilkerson Co 1900 Enumeration Dist 101, sheet 11, site 206/207. I dropped a number when I scanned it, but my guess is 1848. Your Norma shows up in the 1900 as age 14 b Jun 1865. 1910 census shows Ben Pate and wife Leila Pate. That would be Leila Mercer, his 2nd wife. Amsey perhaps died between 1900 and 1910. Help any?
