      FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MR. J. W. MC KENZIE
      Montezuma, Ga. - Nov. 19 - Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for J.W.McKenzie, prominent Montezuma business man whose sudden death occurred at his home early Monday morning. Mr. McKenzie had been in failing health for some time but had not been confined to his home and seemed in his usual health Sunday. A heart attack was the immediate cause of his death.
      The services were conducted by Dr. J.A. Thomas, pastor of the Montezuma Methodist Church and Rev. Marshall Nelms, pastor of the Baptist Church.
      Mr. McKenzie was the youngest son of the late Mr. & Mrs. John McKenzie, pioneer citizens of Montezuma, and his family has been prominently identified with the development of this section of the state. Mr. McKenzie was engaged in the oil business and also had considerable farming interest.
      His wife was formerly Miss Idolene Shealy of Oglethorpe and he leaves a daughter, Miss Obie Alice McKenzie, a student in the Montezuma High School. a sister, Mrs. Obie Black of Atlanta, four brothers, W. H. McKenzie, Sr., Ed M. McKenzie, Earl McKenzie, Sr. and Lawrence McKenzie of Montezuma, an aunt, Mrs. W. B. Reeves of Atlanta and an uncle, W. L. McKenzie of Montezuma.
      Interment was in the Felton Cemetery with Yancey Hill in charge. Not all of the long obituary copied.
