      Edgar Nathan "Ed" Bussell, 77, of 304 E. Sixth St., Smackover, died Friday, Jan. 20, in a Little Rock hospital.
      Born May 4, 1911, in Chidester, he was the son of William D. and Maudie Wood(s) Bussell. He was a past employee of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he was a section foreman.
      Survivors include five sons, Mitchell Bussell, Tommy Bussell, Gerry Bussell, Joppy Bussell and Steve Bussell, all of Smackover; eight daughters, Peggy Davis of Mount Holly, Nell Stevens of Smackover, Elaine Wright of Waldo, Cherry Saulsbury of Ashdown, Lottie Preston of Smackover, Jane Clemons of Simpsonville, Texas, Betsy Gros of Camden and Colette Kersh of El Dorado; three brothers, Rufus Bussell of Camden, Leonard Bussell of Chidester and Pete Bussell of Greenbriar; two sisters Johnnie Webb of Smackover and Littie Mae Looney of Magnolia; 33 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.\\
      Funeral will be at 2p.m. today at Crossroads Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles A Hutcheson and David H. Presto officiating. Burial will follow in Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
      The family will be at the Larry Preston residence, 208 E. Sixth St., Smackover
