    • William Graham was a signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence adopted at Charlotte NC May 20/21 1775. He was a farmer. His will probated in 1818 shows he had accumulated much property in the form of land and slaves.

      He was an American Revolutionary soldier and fought in the Battle of King's Mountain under Col. Dixon. The British forces were defeated there on 7 Oct 1780.

      Immigrated from Pennsylvania on 6 Feb 1767.

      He was a founder and Elder of the Hopewell Presy Church of Mecklenburg. He is buried in the Old Hopewell Church yard died age 78. A signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence - May 20, 1775
