A-112 JOSEPH HARRISON.* Will dated Feb. 9, 1831, probated &recorded Mar. 7, 1831, pp. 147-149. "In consequence of what I have heretofore given my son COLMORE I give him a Negro boy named JAMES"
To grand-daughter MALINDA CAVIN a Negro girl named HENNEY & a Negro boy named AARON, also one horse, saddle & bridle worth not less than $75 & one bed & furniture. To grandson WILLIAM CAVIN $100. To children of his dau. MUKY HOLLAND, $500 out of which sum all debts due to him, to his estate by JOHN HOLLAND, husband of his daughter MUKY,are to be paid.
"Whereas I have good & Sufficient Reason to believe that REBECCA KINNINGHAM has been Delivered of a Man Child named ICHABOD MANSON which was Owned & Acknowledged by my son HEZEKIAH to be his Child. Nowit is my will & desire that if said child should live, that it shallhier all the property that I intended to give my said son HEZEKIAH. Therefore give & bequeath unto said child named ICHABOD MANSON one Negro woman called CLOE, & her child PHEBE, & furthermore it is my will that my son OVERTON shall act as Guardian to the said Child, &take charge of & manage said property to the best advantage for the benefit of said child until it shall become of age, but in case said child should die at any time previous to its becoming of age, then &in that case, I give and bequeath unto the said Negro woman & child to my son OVERTON. And in consequence of the premise afore said, I give& bequeath unto my Son HEZEKIAH, the sum of $10 which has been paid to him."
"Whereas having sometime since sold unto my son JOSEPHUS one Negro woman ELIZA for a small sum, & not having made Titles to my said Son,to the said Negro, I now therefore give and bequeath the said Negro Eliza, & her increase to my son JOSEPHUS & also, the sum of $5.00."
To son JASON HARRISON $450 which has already been paid to him. To son OVERTON HARRISON one Negro man named ADAM & one girl named SARAH."Moreover for Services Rendered & many advances paid by my Son OVERTON to my Son HEZEKIAH I give and bequeath to my Son OVERTON one Negro Boy ISSAC, which I intended for my son HEZEKIAH." To son TILMAN HARRISON one Negro woman named MARY & all her children, to wit, AUGUSTUS, MILLY, EDY, GEORGE & MATILDA, also all her increase, with one Negro boy named JACOB.
"I leave sufficient sum to defray the expense of erecting a wall of stone to include a place of 14' square, the grave of my dau. SUSAN &her child to be included in one corner of said Inclosure, said wall to be four feet high..."
Perishable property to be equally divided between all his children,except for son JOSEPHUS & dau. MUKY HOLLAND. Children of MUKY HOLLAND to share jointly as one of his children, one share among them.
